去加拿大讀高中的學(xué)生大多數(shù)都選擇安大略省或者BC省，也了解BC省畢業(yè)需要通過省考，而對(duì)于安大略省畢業(yè)需要通過Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test（OSSLT）卻知之甚少。OSSLT究竟是一個(gè)什么樣的考試，我們?cè)敿?xì)介紹一下。

簡介：

OSSLT全稱為Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test，是安省學(xué)生高中畢業(yè)獲得畢業(yè)證必須要參加的考試。該考試始于2001年，由Conservative government創(chuàng)立，旨在測試10年級(jí)學(xué)生的閱讀和寫作能力。該考試由Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO)監(jiān)管。本土10年級(jí)學(xué)生必須通過該考試才能入讀11年級(jí)。國際學(xué)生必須在12年級(jí)結(jié)束前通過該考試。

考試時(shí)間：

每年3月份后一個(gè)周四

考試內(nèi)容：

OSSLT考試分為兩部分，時(shí)間為2.5小時(shí)，部分包含多項(xiàng)選擇題，簡答題，根據(jù)標(biāo)題和圖片創(chuàng)作一份報(bào)紙。第二部分包含多項(xiàng)選擇題，簡答題，根據(jù)已給題目寫一篇文章，敘述自己的觀點(diǎn)?？荚嚌M分為400分。

考試考查點(diǎn)：

閱讀部分：

閱讀部分的信息和類型學(xué)生基本上每天都能遇到，比如：說明書，各種行程單、表格，文學(xué)素材，寓言、故事等。這些閱讀主要從以下幾方面考核學(xué)生：

Understanding of ideas and information that are stated directly in the reading selection

Understanding of ideas and information that are stated indirectly and that require the reader to make inferences

Making of connections between personal knowledge and experience and the ideas and information in the reading selections (e.g., interpretation of meaning).

寫作部分：

寫作部分要求學(xué)生寫4篇文章，如果文章中信息缺少會(huì)扣分，如果信息過多也會(huì)被扣分。寫作主要考核學(xué)生以下能力：

Development of a main idea

Provision of supporting details

Organization and linking of ideas and information

Use of an appropriate tone for the purpose and the intended reader

Use of correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
