2016-2017年新一輪的申請(qǐng)季已經(jīng)到來啦！小伙伴們都已經(jīng)準(zhǔn)備好了嗎？這里我們?yōu)榇蠹覅R總了美國(guó)常用的兩個(gè)申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)——Common Application申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)和UC加州大學(xué)申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)新的文書寫作題目。

（一）Common Application申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)

Common App今年寫作題目相比去年沒有變化。官方數(shù)據(jù)顯示，在2015-2016年度，有超過80萬申請(qǐng)者通過Common App提交了申請(qǐng)，其中47%的申請(qǐng)者選擇寫他們的背景、身份、興趣或才能；22%選擇寫讓其成長(zhǎng)成熟的成就；17的申請(qǐng)者寫的是一次失敗經(jīng)歷；10%選擇寫解決的某個(gè)問題；只有4%選擇寫挑戰(zhàn)觀念。

2016-2017年Common App申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)文書題目（5選1）

1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.

一些學(xué)生有非常有意義的背景、身份、興趣或才能，如果不予講述，申請(qǐng)就會(huì)不完整。如果你有一個(gè)這樣的故事，請(qǐng)分享。

2. The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

失敗是成功之母。敘述一件你失敗過的事情或是一段失敗沮喪的時(shí)期。它對(duì)你有何影響，你從中學(xué)到了什么？

3. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?

你有挑戰(zhàn)過的固有的信仰或觀念嗎？是什么促使你產(chǎn)生這樣的行為？如果事情再發(fā)生一次，你現(xiàn)在還會(huì)做出同樣的選擇嗎？

4. Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma--anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

描述一個(gè)你已經(jīng)解決了的問題或你想解決的問題。它可以是一個(gè)知識(shí)挑戰(zhàn)，一個(gè)研究調(diào)查，一個(gè)道德困境，或任何對(duì)你產(chǎn)生重要影響的事件。請(qǐng)解釋它對(duì)你的重要性和你采取的措施或可采取的應(yīng)對(duì)措施。

5. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.

（二）UC加州大學(xué)申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)

加州大學(xué)的本科申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)是共用的。加州系統(tǒng)以前只有兩篇文書，要求兩個(gè)題目加起來不超過1000字，現(xiàn)在改成8選4，每篇不超過350字。學(xué)生可根據(jù)自己的情況選擇合適的題目，靈活性更高。

1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time.

描述你的一次領(lǐng)導(dǎo)經(jīng)歷，可以體現(xiàn)你對(duì)他人的積極影響，幫助解決了爭(zhēng)端或者是隨著時(shí)間的推移，對(duì)團(tuán)隊(duì)的努力做出了貢獻(xiàn)。

2. Every person has a creative side, and it can be expressed in many ways: problem solving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you express your creative side.

每個(gè)人都有具有創(chuàng)造力的一面，它能通過很多方面表現(xiàn)出來：解決問題，原創(chuàng)的創(chuàng)新思維，和在藝術(shù)上的創(chuàng)作等。描述你會(huì)如何表達(dá)你的創(chuàng)造性。

3. What would you say is your greatest talent or skill? How have you developed and demonstrated that talent over time?

4. Describe how you have taken advantage of a significant educational opportunity or worked to overcome an educational barrier you have faced.

5. Describe the most significant challenge you have faced and the steps you have taken to overcome this challenge. How has this challenge affected your academic achievement?
