眾所周知，其實(shí)社工應(yīng)該算是一個(gè)大家既熟悉又陌生的詞。并且其實(shí)大家對(duì)對(duì)這個(gè)詞不陌生，這些地區(qū)有著完善的社工制度。加拿大作為一個(gè)高全民福利的，有著完善的社會(huì)服務(wù)體系和一流的社工教育也不足為奇。接下來(lái)美嘉小編就為大家介紹下這個(gè)社工專(zhuān)業(yè)：

為什么要學(xué)習(xí)社工？原因很簡(jiǎn)單，就是收入和就業(yè)前景都好；然后這是一個(gè)非常穩(wěn)定的工作；后，社工專(zhuān)業(yè)的國(guó)際化發(fā)展非常好，是真正的可進(jìn)可退，可留可回的專(zhuān)業(yè)。學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)這個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)后，無(wú)論是在工作，還是留在加拿大都是很便利的。

社工就是：是社會(huì)工作的專(zhuān)業(yè)人才，他們運(yùn)用專(zhuān)業(yè)的知識(shí)和技能，以社區(qū)為單位幫助困境中的需要幫助的人員，主要就是和政府公共服務(wù)的互補(bǔ)。社工實(shí)際上就介于政府服務(wù)人員和民間工藝組織之間的存在主要服務(wù)對(duì)象是弱勢(shì)群體，如老年人、兒童等弱勢(shì)群體。主要服務(wù)領(lǐng)域是社會(huì)福利、社會(huì)救助、慈善事業(yè)、社區(qū)援助。而回國(guó)工作的話(huà)，也并不是只能在街道工作，而是許多選擇的：民政、勞動(dòng)、社會(huì)保障和衛(wèi)生等社會(huì)組織及其他社會(huì)福利、服務(wù)和公益團(tuán)體等機(jī)構(gòu)，主要從事社會(huì)保障、社會(huì)政策研究、社會(huì)行政管理、社區(qū)發(fā)展與管理、社會(huì)服務(wù)、評(píng)估與操作等工作。

在加拿大學(xué)習(xí)社工是有2個(gè)渠道的：學(xué)院和本科。根據(jù)加拿大留學(xué)中介指出，先進(jìn)入學(xué)院的社工專(zhuān)業(yè)在完成學(xué)業(yè)后，再根據(jù)需求伺機(jī)申請(qǐng)本科，在錄取的幾率更大一些。因?yàn)橹苯由暾?qǐng)本科課程的話(huà)，由于這個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)在申請(qǐng)的時(shí)候要求學(xué)生有一定的相關(guān)背景，所以直接錄取有難度。實(shí)際上在學(xué)院的申請(qǐng)也是競(jìng)爭(zhēng)激烈的，所以申請(qǐng)要趁早的。

Enrolment to the BSW program is limited. All candidates are expected to have better than average grades. Within the group of applicants who meet the academic requirements, preference is given to those who have had significant social work-related experience, paid or volunteer, and also to those who demonstrate personal suitability for the social work profession.

Senior High School (3 years of study) and Senior High School Graduation Exam

瑞爾森大學(xué)

入學(xué)要求：碩士

A Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from an institution that meets the guidelines of the International Association of Schools of Social Work, or is accredited by a national body of accreditation；Achieved a minimum 3.0/4.33 (B or equivalent) average in the last two years of study. Note: Given the strong competition, applicants will normally be required to present academic averages significantly higher than the minimum.

蘭加拉學(xué)院

入學(xué)要求：學(xué)院

Completion of BC Grade 12 or equivalent or be 19 years of age or older.

Minimum 3 credits of university-transferable courses with a grade point of 2.00 or higher.

One of the following:

LET with a minimum level 3; LPI with a minimum 26 on the essay and one of 5 in English usage, 5 in sentence structure, or 10 in reading comprehension; BC English 12 or equivalent with a minimum 80%; BC English Literature 12 with a minimum 80%; BC English First Peoples 12 with a minimum 80%; a university-level English or Communications course for which Langara awards transfer credit, with a minimum 'C-'; or 'C' in ENGL 1120; or an 'S' in one of ENGL 1107, 1108, or 1110.

尼亞加拉學(xué)院

入學(xué)要求：學(xué)院

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including the following required courses: English - any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent.

殊不知，其實(shí)對(duì)于大部分同學(xué)們?cè)诩幽么笊绻?zhuān)業(yè)畢業(yè)后，通常是可以去選擇在這些領(lǐng)域工作：社工，市政府，中學(xué)輔導(dǎo)員，特別看護(hù)中心。尤其是在華人比較多的社區(qū)，這些職位都會(huì)非常容易找到工作，而這一類(lèi)工作的齊心一般都在30加幣/小時(shí)左右，還算是不錯(cuò)的。并且對(duì)于移民來(lái)說(shuō)也是符合政策要求的。
